groom’s family too! there’s a chance i’d actually be looking forward to it if my family was less well-behaved, because there’d almost certainly be a boozy food fight of some sort. sadly, they’re a polite christian bunch so the worst that will happened is a few strained smiles and some bathroom gossip.

Did he get them to go 'yes I am faking it' or did he, as he appears to have done with faking his own depression, set a checklist and gone, well they do all these things that I did and they admit to doing them, therefore they must also be faking, rather than those things being real for them?

i had basically resigned myself to it being poorly-though-out satire, until backintimeandtomars mentioned that one of the listed artists, kc green (who’s work i’d never seen), apparently bases a lot of her work around themes regarding depression. so if it IS satire then pfsc is just a huge asshole who’s fake-calling-out someone who could reasonably end up tangled in this mess and getting hate for it.

my cat went to the vet’s today and it might be pancreatitis. Have you been given five different meds to give Wilbo?
just one so far! they’re nervous to test him further because he completely flipped out during his blood draws and ultrasound, so we’re doing meds + a special diet for a week to see if we can avoid more invasive procedures.

tbh I’m too tired to be able to tell if you’re being ironic or not so I’m just hoping that you’re annoyed by the repetitiveness of the chorus and not being made at a girl power song that is just as girl powerly as lots of other ones?
i’m annoyed by the insistence that “girls” “run the world” when we so clearly don’t. no more annoyed than i am at any other girl powerly song that promotes a false social pretense (which is fairly annoyed, because we girls aren’t stupid enough to think we’re somehow in control of a majority of global corporations/government positions/seats of power)
i don’t want people to think i’m directing this annoyance at beyonce, because i’m a hUGE FAN of everything about beyonce. i’m not deluded enough to think she wrote/produced/conceived this song.
