in ep six (“the lame duck congress”) danny and cj have one of their many sexy standoffs. danny gets a job offer to be something besides a white house reporter, and cj hints that he should take it. “cj,” he says, “i have no problem with a reporter dating a press secretary.” “well,” cj replies, “i have a problem. so.”
this is right after ep five, where cj tells toby that the wholesale rejection of ainsley hayes isn’t just because she’s a republican, but because she’s a woman. and a really hot woman at that. toby’s all “noooo waaaaay” but fuck off toby, cj’s right and that fact is made searingly clear.
obviously danny doesn’t have a problem with dating the press secretary, because no one is going to question DANNY’S objectivity. they’re going to jump all over cj and tear her flesh from her bones. she’ll never be able to rebuild the credibility it took her two years to attain. she’ll be a floozy.
this is an episode in which i hate danny.
