i just had a boring revelation about game of thrones/fantasy gender politics/real gender politics

i’ve been reading the GoT books and GoT forums and GoT vague spoilers (pls note i am a newb) and when it comes to robb stark i’ve been feeling sorta sympathetic about how he chose to marry for love even tho he’d already arranged a crucial political marriage

except then i gave it more than 30 seconds of thought

and FUCK ROBB STARK

i was already feeling a tinge of FRS before this revelation, because he needed that bridge and he made his (mom-brokered) choice so GUESS WHAT you’re a stark and starks place a ridic amount of value on honor so go thru with your stupid agreement even tho u r trying to maneuver within a system that doesn’t give a shit about honor etc etc etc

but what’s this fucking nonsense about robb getting to wed a chick he thinks he really truly forever loves

does he think his sisters are going to get that privilege?

does he think his mother got that privilege?

so NOW, in the middle of a BATTLE FOR THE IRON THRONE, when everything he does has the potential to CRUCIALLY AFFECT THE WAR EFFORT, he thinks he can smooch all up on the lady he ‘loves’ 

robb stark deserves exactly what’s coming to him (in terms of book spoilers)(not sure how the tv series will handle it)(sry i forgot)(it’s not tv it’s hbo)(aka i would have to pay $20 to watch the series)(lol)(do you know how much i make an hour)(i have a bachelor’s of science)(no one cares)
